STORY

Eight years after the second Great War, you have been assigned to help escort a convoy carrying the pieces to the new Knossoss device.  This device will be used to reastablish the jump node to Earth, so it is imperative that it arrives safely.

This is my first Freespace 2 mission that I have released to the public.

You might have noticed that the containers are invulnerable, this is to make it easier for me to count failures in a variable.  Since nothing attacks them anyway, I figured it wouldn't matter.

MISSION TIPS

A. If the freighters keep escaping:  When a new group of two freighters arrives immediately order Beta wing to destroy one of them (C,2,2,1) and you take the other one.  Use your Kayser until it runs out, then switch to the Subach.  Don't bother wasting missiles, they don't seem to do a whole lot.  Also: if the Asmodeus freighters are blasting you with their flak guns, just come in behind them and they can't hit you with them.

B. If your freighters keep dying: The first wing to attack your freighters is Taurus, made up of four Manticores.  Get to them very fast and double-fire your tornadoes at each of them.  When Gemini and Libra, eight Nahema bombers, arrive, use the rest of your missiles on them.  When they begin launching their Rebel Bombs switch to the Subach and shoot them down.  You must be able to intercept their bombs!  Practice this, as on average I have to intercept at least four.  Your wingmen will have orders to guard the freighers as soon as they arrive.

C. If you keep dying: I don't know, take evasive maneuevers, don't attack large ships, play it on an easier setting.
